Passion Never Fades

So it's been quite a while since I updated this blog. After parting with my MX83 Cressida a few years ago I decided that I had enough fun with the x-chassis body and decided to pick up something more fun with less doors and also something that I always wanted to build up every since I saw a Japanese option video of Takahiro Ueno's Red Soarer! So I proudly present this new JZZ30 chassis. Below are some pics/specs of the car and a little history and what my plans for it are and how I inquired it if anyone is interested in read about it :)

It a '92 Lexus SC300 chassis that I had picked up with a close friend of mine down in San Diego, California back in the summer of 2012 with a couple of modification already done. It already had the following done to the car when we got it.

-"Bag over kit" Universal Air Suspension air bags on Megan Coilovers

-Viair compressors and gauges

-Pancake tank in trunk

-Shine Auto/Auto Couture 4 piece body kit

The car was primmerd black and had the rear fenders already pulled and rolled to fit 18/19x11+ wheels and the inter front fenders cut down as well to fit wider wheels up front so the body work was already done which was why it was an ideal car to start building up. We also found a shipping company to have it shipped to Washington State from California to take the time away to drive it all the way back up here.

After the SC was sprayed with a bright red from a 2001 Toyota MR-S and tinted the windows, we test fitted two sets of wheels

-A squared set of Polished Volk Rays TE37 in 18x10.5 +15 all around which looks awesome on the car at one point.

-A set of 2001 OEM BMW X5 wheels in 19x9 +48, 19x10 +45 with 31mm 5x120 to 5x114.3 bolt on spacers which brought them to 19x9 +17, 19x10 +14

So fast forwards a few years this is how it sits for now. Got a square set of Koya Racing wheels 18x9.5 +35 in black (Work CR Kai replicas, basically look identical) switched out the bag kit and installed a set of K-Sport coilovers but short term/future plans are as listed:

-Repair the Shine Auto kit next spring/summer and run 97+ SC300 front bumper and side skirts in the meantime

-Run 31mm bolt on spacers for the front

-Possibly paint the Koya wheels white

-Get kouki tails or run LEDs in the ones I have right now from "status leds"

-Find a set of VIP dished wheels in 18x10.5/11.5 or 12 I really want some SSR agle Minervas,Courages,Viennas...

-Swap in a Soarer 1jz or go 2jz single turbo

-Run Battle Version front/rear arms and suspension components

-Run BC Racing, Stance or Powered By Max coilovers in the future

Went to a few car shows this past summer and got a few good shots from Formula Drift/ Offset Kings and at Driftcon at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington

So this should be a fun journey for the next couple of years and i'll see where it takes me. I'am shooting for a street car style build with this one so more updates will come as I make some more progress on this car.

Wow haven't posted much on here for a while now, with work taking up most of my time I hardly ever get the chance to post nowadays haha since I don't do car related things at work lol. But here is a video made by Dustin of Dirty Dlux of local driver's Mitch and Justin of "Team Diplomats" out of Portland, Oregon. Enjoy, I will try to post more frequently of things that catch my eye.
